COMPANY ORIGIN

What began as an altruistic effort, inspired by the illnesses and deaths of family members and friends whose lives were profoundly affected by tobacco and nicotine addiction, ultimately led to the creation of COMSIS' proprietary tea-based foundation.

COMSIS' founders extensively researched the tobacco, nicotine, and alternative smoking products industries, together with the healthcare consequences of tobacco use and nicotine addiction. They also examined the psychology of smoking behaviors, particularly the enduring influence of ritual and routine behaviors.

Their research highlighted tea's unique position among botanical ingredients. Consumed for centuries throughout the world, tea is widely recognized for its scientifically documented wellness properties and continues to be incorporated into an expanding range of consumer products.

Historical research further revealed that tea had been smoked in certain regions of the world long before the widespread adoption of inexpensive, mass-produced tobacco cigarettes. Although tea possessed many desirable characteristics, its natural physical properties created significant production impediments that prevented it from becoming a commercially viable alternative.

These observations inspired years of research and development that culminated in COMSIS' proprietary foundation. Its first commercial application, NAKED Green Tea Cigarettes™, established Proof of Concept and the framework for future tea-based platforms. 

ORGANIZATION

COMSIS was established following the successful development of its proprietary tea-based foundation. The company owns the related intellectual property, including the proprietary manufacturing process, formulations, and the current and future tea-based platforms, product variations, formats, and extensions derived from that foundation.

The company maintains a lean organizational structure, with its co-founders providing strategic leadership, oversight, and administration. COMSIS imports processed raw ingredients and contracts with U.S.-based providers for manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, marketing, and professional services.
